Requirement analysis

NINE09 required an app that must be perfect in UI and also covers all the functionality like routing, BLE calling in iPhone, location tracing, optimised battery consumption, low memory consumption, should sync with the cloud server for the data, implement lost mode feature for the cycle.

Challenges

Requirement of the app was to work with complex BLE functions and exchange the data communication with the Firmware developed by their team so that it must be secure and work perfectly, aligning with the whole system of the e-bike.

Solution

Utilising BLE commands of mobile apps, transferring data from firmware to app in secure channel using data transfer layer.

BLE with Firmware

The app targeted all E-bike users and organisations, that should be able to adapt their riding habits without much problems. The app was quite secure and transaction of all the BLE communication was quite effective that within no time the information was communicated with its highly intuitive interface.

Routing capability

To display real time location tracing and routing on the map, Magic lane SDK was used that was extensively researched by AppMatic Tech to conclude the right functions were implemented. Dead end Destination errors were solved to huge extent by using optimised algorithms.

Since AppMatic Tech has extensively worked on BLE in past projects, this E-bike app project was just another challenge to overcome some complexities like time crunch, live expo in germany and many other complications on the firmware and battery side that had to be resolved in a far decent and professional manner. We took this challenge and qualified for every new problem that the whole team faced. From solving errors of BLE, battery, location by magic lane SDK and its very vague documentation to helping out firmware team, battery lock/unlock problems, extending times and making the product pitch perfect for the successful event conducted by the client in Germany.
